OLLIE – THURSDAY – DEC. 30, 2010

Excuse me, Ella. Hellooooooooo. She is trying to take a photo of me, and I am toooo tired to lift my chin off the arm of this big, comfy chair.  Besides, this is a good pose, cute, nice window light.  I shouldn’t move.  Hey, pssstt, I don’t think she can see me over your ears.  You are way toooooo close to be in focus anyway.  You are going to look like a fuzzy blobette, a blond mess.  And I can’t get up.  My reserves are spent.  I need food.  I feel weak in the knees.  I haven’t eaten in an hour.  I need a treat, a happy hip, a tasty reward, a wheat-free, corn-free, soy-free something, maybe an early dinner or a first dinner before a second dinner, something!  Help me out here, please.  Someone toss me a bone.  Why isn’t she getting closer, sidestepping that furball?  The light if fading on my handsome face.  I can’t hold this pose forever.  Besides wasn’t taking down these Christmas decorations on the list today?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ollie has decided what is New Year’s resolutions are going to be.  He thinks if we all adhered to these three simple things, the world would be at peace.

Stay tuned for a January photo special.

WRESTLEMANIA OLLIE – WED. – DEC. 29, 2010

It was a match between the visiting bruiser and the mini flyweight.  The little punk was the initiator. Jasper the Bulk, more than double Ollie’s size, was game. Wrestling began when Ollie decided.  There was some trash growling.  Ella, the referee, tried to keep order, but teeth were a gnashing, legs a flying, and tails a wagging.  Jasper attempted a half Nelson.  Ollie squirmed away.  Jasper tried a power slam, and Ollie, made from the same material as Gumbi, bounced back.  Perhaps thinking Ollie wasn’t going to survive, the referee grrrred her disapproval and ended the match.  Little pup Ollie listened.  Jasper laid down to chew on a tennis ball.  Both dogs, off in their corners, knew they had won.

Ollie has been thinking about his New Year’s resolutions and can’t wait to share them with you in a couple days.

Stay tuned for a January photo special.

OLLIE AND FRIENDS – TUESDAY – DEC. 28, 2010

We had a little taste test over at the house today.  Well, maybe it was just a snack. Who isn’t up for one of those?  The results were almost unanimous. There was one holdout. So often, there is one in every crowd.  My little Ella, raining on my parade. Stay tuned for a January photo special.   More Ollie photos may be seen at annechadwickwilliams.com

PUPPY LOVE – OLLIE – MONDAY, DEC. 27, 2010

I caught them.  Napping.  Together.  Love, isn’t it.  Ollie would be up for this sort of snooze all the time, snuggly buggly, puppy floppiness, fur touching fur.  Ella is a different story.  She is aloof.  Coy.  Cool.  Seemingly indifferent, but that’s a ploy because she is onto you.  She sleeps outside, year-round.  The instant I turn the light off, she is out the doggie door.  I think it’s her thick coat and the fresh air that keep her outside at night.  Ella and Tule used to lie like this together.  It was so sweet to see.  They were cohorts for more than 10 years.  This is the first time Ella and Ollie have napped together.  I think Ella is saying, “He’s in.”

Stay tuned for a January photo special.

The click of the camera. Caught. Ella yawns.
