Started taking photos before getting out of bed this morning. The early morning light was spilled through the curtains. Ella had jumped up onto the bed and her hair was so nicely backlight.

There was a disc dog competition in Dixon, CA on Sunday. I stopped by to see the dogs in action. What fun they were having. This dachshund was just amazing. He was the tiniest dog in the competition, not much taller than the grass and not much bigger than the disc, but he didn’t know that.
At first I thought, oh no, maybe Tule had been stung by a bee. I’ve seen them around the yard as the flowers begin to blossom. Years ago I came home and one of his eyes was nearly swollen shut from a bee sting. But this was him just being him, carrying around a frozen meat bone I’d given him. Just savoring it before eating it.

This was a great day at a ranch where the dogs ran and swam. It was a dog tired day.
