Anne’s been wanting to photograph me on the ruby couch. She’s been thinking something Vermeer-ish with window light spilling onto the rich color of the settee and with my more neutral fur tone. This wasn’t exactly what she had in mind, but she liked it. I’ve been practicing my poses in the mirror. She said this is cute overload.
We were sorry to hear that Jack LaLanne passed on yesterday. We were just talking about him.
This border collie named Chaser knows 1022 nouns! Yikes!! Can you imagine. In three years, Chaser’s vocabulary included 800 cloth animals, 116 balls, 26 Frisbees and a variety of plastic items. His owner had to remember the names of each item by writing its name in marker on it. What is also amazing is the amount of time the owner took to teach his dog all these words. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/18/science/18dog.html?_r=1&scp=6&sq=dogs&st=cse

What a ham! When is he going to sign a movie deal?? I’ll probably never meet Ollie (live in Chicago), but want him to know how much joy he has brought me over these past two months, so please give him a hug from me.
Anne, This priceless.
Vermeer–don’t think so. I remember my books on art classics. The ruby couch is much too lively. Maybe something more Spanish, as in flaminco/fandango.
