Ollie’s final vet bill was $7,377. I paid what I was able to and then more than 70 amazing people donated to pay a majority of his bill. I am so grateful, which seems like such a small word at the moment. Thank you everyone.
Ollie’s glucose had been doing well. He had a drop today. I’m wondering if our little walk was too much for him. He trotted ahead of me most of the time. I think he will rebound. I’ll check him later. He continues to be a very picky eater. I try to get him to eat every few hours. I am hand feeding him and spoon feeding him and at times giving him liquids via syringe. It’s a mystery why such a skinny dog isn’t devouring his food. A gallery of Ollie photos can be seen at annechadwickwilliams.com
Checking on Ollie is my daily treat. I think I might be a bit picky about food, too, if I had swallowed corn cobs. He looks so happy with you. Blessings to you all every day!
I was just going to say, one of the first things I do is check in to the pictures of Ollie. It’s funny re: starving dogs. You have to really get food down them before their natural urge to eat kicks in. I think it’s a function of their system having shut down for starvation. With Ollie, I’m sure too, every time he ate meant excruciating pain, with the corn cob. Or, he may be incredibly thin, as whippets are. Thanks for the daily treat!
The pictures are wonderful, by the way. Amazing, talented shots.
